AKB48's newest single may rival light novel titles in length. Clocking in at 76 characters (which is the longest the group's history), their 34th single bears the verbose title "鈴懸の木の道で『君の微笑みを夢に見る』と言ってしまったら僕たちの関係はどう変わってしまうのか、僕なりに何日か考えた上でのやや気恥ずかしい結論のようなもの." Romanized, that's "Suzukake no ki no michi de "kimi no hohoemi o yume ni miru" to itte shimattara bokutachi no kankei wa dou kawatte shimau no ka, boku nari ni nannichi ka kangaeta ue de no yaya kihazukashii ketsuron no you na mono", which roughly translates to, "Something like the slightly embarrassing conclusion I reached after thinking for several days, as I do, about how things between us might change if I told you "I see your smile in my dreams" along the road of London Planetrees." The single features Jurina Matsui of SKE48, who confessed to being surprised, but added, "At the same time, I thought it'd be nice if it became a topic of conversation for people. I'd like to talk about it with everyone together and hear what they have to say." General Producer Yasushi said, "When creating the song this time around, while picturing the members from the [most recent] Janken Senbatsu, we felt something that we couldn't quite put into a single word or phrase. That might be the glimmer of youth, of the mystique of the girls, or the enthusiasm witch which AKB48 as a group chases their dreams with everything they've got. That's why we went with a title where that sentiment seemed to be jotted down." [Via 0takomu] The single will go on sale December 11.
